Impaired Life

    We take things for granted and not realize how important it is that it’s easy for us to do, even the simplest things such as getting to walk and run easily. Impaired Life shows how even the short travel through the streets and road to realize what efforts one goes through having impaired mobility using a wheelchair. Experience the short yet what may feel like a long and hard journey of the protagonist through his transformation between that of walking then having to use a wheelchair.

Expected playtime ~10 minutes

    This game was developed for EAE 3720 Class, Alt Games Development, for University of Utah during Fall 2023.

    Navigate a meticulously designed map, alternating between walking and using a wheelchair. Through the different set of controls, the player gets to see how difficult it may be to go through the same place. With mostly clear visual placement of the world, the player will have to re-route and figure out how to navigate the world using a wheelchair to get to his destination.
